Retraction to earlier post ! Last week I posted the flyer for the MDR Super 250 and on this flyer I stated that there was going to be free food. It has come to my attention that Fibre-Tech ( who is the host for this event) has had an annual Taco Cart with tacos for $1.00 and also the local elemntary school has been selling sodas as a fund raiser for school supplies . At this time I would like to inform everybody that we will honor these vendors and retract our statement of free food.We believe in the cause to help raise funds for local schools and we hope everyone will help support them. The annual event held by Fibre-Tech along with MDR’s drawing will be a great event and there will be plenty of fun for all so please plan on joining us on October 11th 2008 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with the actual drawing to be held at 1:00 pm REMEMBER YOU MUST BE PRE-ENTERED TO HAVE A CHANCE AT THE FREE ENTRY BEING PROVIDED BY MDR ! DEADLINE FOR THIS PRIZE IS SEPTEMBER 30TH @ MIDNIGHT !

Hello to all the V4DR/MDR volunteers and supporters of dezert racing in the Imperial Valley.

I am writing this to announce that V4DR will be “handing-off” the volunteer coordinator duties for the MDR Superstition Series races to MDR, and their new volunteer coordinators. V4DR will work together with MDR and the new volunteer coordinators to make sure they have what they need to support the MDR Superstition Series efforts. I am really appreciative that others have stepped up. I hope in a year or two more coordinators will step up to relieve/help the current coordinators. It's a bit of work to do the coordinator thing...but well worth it! This is how desert racing works..volunteers are a necessary thing...and need to be appreciated.

I want to make sure you all know (volunteers, racers, and sponsors of Plaster City racing) how thankful and appreciative Summer and I are for the support and friendship you have given us for the last year-and-a-half. We have made memories and friends which I know we will have the rest of our lives. We had a vision and you all supported that, and that is what makes this family really great!

Summer and I and V4DR are by no means leaving our racing family in Imperial Valley. At this time I wish to focus more energy on the Land-Use issues plaguing the OHV areas surrounding the Imperial Valley, and my own personal ventures. I have recognized that in the fight to keep our public lands open to OHV, the “4-wheel” desert racing community really needs to kick things into high-gear, and I hope to spear-head an effort in IV to bring the 4-wheeled racers together with the 2-wheel racers in the fight to keep our lands open. This is where I now want to focus a good chunk of my energy.

I will be talking with all the appropriate people to insure that all the sponsorships and records transfer over to the new volunteer coordinators. I am awaiting some calls to firm up the info, and I will update you all with the info as I receive it.

Also, I would like to help the new coordinators by giving them access to the V4DR contact list. If you prefer NOT to have your contact info transferred to the new coordinators, please PM me and let me know. I will wait approx 2 weeks to hear before transferring the info (I will transfer phone and e-mail only). I will also send out a mass e-mail with this statement attached

Again, thanks to everyone for supporting V4DR. Especially a big thank-you to ORW, High’n’Low Motorsports, TROPHYLITE, MasterCraft, Jim Holtus and the TORR crew, John and Caitlin Manring(you guys are awesome!), PMS Racing, JCA Racing, DSR Racing, Kyle and KB Signs and Graphics, McCallum Racing, Ocotillo ATV Rentals, MDR and last but not least RDC as we would be nowhere without you guys!

Take care, be safe, See you in the Dez!

Hi all,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all the volunteers who helped out at the Vision-X/MDR 2008 Coyote 200 Night Race!

I was very lucky to have a great crew (as always) who toughed out the heat and the long hours. The weather could have been worse...so I am real happy with how things went down.

Thanks to the rovers (Doug, Brian, Cortney(68chase), Eddie, Larry/Gary, Chuck/Tony) for taking really good care of the racers,
-To Start Finish (Tim and Chantalle) for sucking dust all night!!!,
-To the checkpoints (Wright Racing, Ocotillo ATV rentals, Brian and Mike) for staying awake when things got slow...and the Monster ran low!!!
-To the road crossing crew (Sic Racing, and my wife Summer!) and the "Center-Meetings", to my starting linup people for the help with the quickest line-up ever,
-Thanks to those who helped with Contengency and tech (Mark, Josh)
-and to those who helped with the course marking and clean-up on Sunday (Doug, Brian, Mark, Adam, Louis, and James.

Thank you all so much...I know FUD is smiling down on us!!!!

Thanks to Terry Tolbert (AZ1600) for providing the lighting for S/F and the road crossing.
Thanks to PMS racing for their continued support to V4DR! Thanks to Jim of RDO Agricultural Equipment in El Centro for delivering the lights for us to use!!! Very good people there!

Thank you to JCA racing for the generous donation thay made to V4DR (gave their 1/2 of the raffle money)
Also thank you to John and Caitlin Manring for making the drawing parties possible.

Thanks again to Curtis Guise for providing DezertPeople-6 movies to the volunteers.

Also thanks to Matt Scaroni and TROPHYLITE for donating TROPHYLITE Shirts to the volunteers.

Last thanks to Baja Designs for donating SOLTEK shirts!

I really appreciate the support of the industry!

Of course...thanks to the racers for driving safe...i didn't even have to run once

Lots of volunteers dedicated their time/money/resources to make this race happen...and I really appreciate it!

Of course...thanks to the racers for driving safe...i didn't even have to run once

Lots of volunteers dedicated their time/money/resources to make this race happen...and I really appreciate it!
